Some Biblical examples of the Cleansing of the Sanctuary:
Exodus 29:36
וּפַ֨ר חַטָּ֜את תַּעֲשֶׂ֤ה לַיֹּום֙ עַל־הַכִּפֻּרִ֔ים
And a sin offering ox shall you prepare daily
for the atonements,
וְחִטֵּאתָ֙ עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ בְּכַפֶּרְךָ֖ עָלָ֑יו
and also offer for sin consequence for the altar
when you are making atonement upon it,
וּמָֽשַׁחְתָּ֥ אֹתֹ֖ו לְקַדְּשֹֽׁו׃
and you shall anoint it, to consecrate it.
Exodus 30:10
וְכִפֶּ֤ר אַהֲרֹן֙ עַל־קַרְנֹתָ֔יו אַחַ֖ת בַּשָּׁנָ֑ה
and Aaron shall make atonement against its horns,
once in the year;
מִדַּ֞ם חַטַּ֣את הַכִּפֻּרִ֗ים אַחַ֤ת בַּשָּׁנָה֙ יְכַפֵּ֤ר עָלָיו֙ לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם
from the blood of the sin atonements, once in the year,
shall he make atonement for it, with reference to your generations.
קֹֽדֶשׁ־קָֽדָשִׁ֥ים ה֖וּא לַיהוָֽה׃ פ
It is Most Holy to the LORD.
Ezekiel 45:18
כֹּה־אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֒
Thus saith Lord Jehovah:
בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ תִּקַּ֥ח פַּר־בֶּן־בָּקָ֖ר תָּמִ֑ים בָּֽרִאשֹׁון֙
In the first, on 1/of calendar month,
you shall take a perfect young herd-bullock,
וְחִטֵּאתָ֖ אֶת־הַמִּקְדָּֽשׁ׃
and you shall free the Sanctuary from sin consequence.
